About Me
HCDE PhD Student
I recently earned my PhD at the University of Washington in the department of Human-Centered Design and Engineering (HCDE). With guidance from my advisors Kate Starbird and Sean Munson, I explored the use of tracking technology (e.g., Catapult, WHOOP, Fitbit, etc.) and data in college athletics. In August 2022 I defended my dissertation, Personal Data and Team Dynamics: Tracking Technology in U.S. College Sports.

During my undergraduate career I also competed on the NCAA Divsion I UMass Women's Rowing Team. For details about my college rowing career, read my bio.

November Project
November Project is a fitness movement in 52 cities around the world. I co-lead our group here in Seattle. We meet at 6:29am on Wednesdays at Gas Works Park and Fridays at rotating locations around the city. Please see our Instagram @novemberprojectseattle for the latest.
Guitar
I have always enjoyed singing, but singing sounds better with accompanyment. So I picked up guitar as my dissertation hobby (a hobby one picks up to balance out writing a disserration) and my pandemic hobby.
